What the tools are for
Kalkylkartan brings together distance and area measurement, Swedish coordinate conversion, nautical distance, radius, bearing, destination and map-file tools. The aim is to make an approximate result easy to obtain and its limitations easy to check.
A calculation you can inspect
Calculations run in your browser. Each tool explains its method, a worked example and the situations where a more authoritative source is needed. Our method tests use the same calculation code as the tools and publish their input assumptions and results.
Help improve the tools
Report unexpected results to [email protected] with the page address, browser and example inputs. Do not include sensitive personal information. More decimal places do not make an uncertain map measurement more accurate.
