Measurements and files
The map tools require no account, login or personal measurement database. Inputs are used locally in your browser to calculate results. GPX and GeoJSON files are processed in your browser rather than uploaded to Kalkylkartan. Kalkylkartan is not designed to sell users' personal data.
External maps and hosting
Background maps are fetched from external map providers. Requests to these providers expose connection information such as your IP address and the requested map tiles. The website is served through Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver and protect the site. Local calculations do not mean that browsing the site makes no external network requests.
Advertising and affiliate links
Kalkylkartan currently loads no automatic advertising network and embeds no Adtraction tracking script. Clearly labelled affiliate links may be introduced. Following such a link can let a partner platform and advertiser record the click and a subsequent conversion to determine commission. Their own privacy policies apply after you follow the link.
Analytics
The project contains support for analytics events, designed to remain inactive when no analytics ID is configured. If measurement services are enabled, this policy must explain the service, events and available choices. Information and an appropriate consent mechanism must be provided before activating a service that requires consent.
Your choices and contact
You can delete or block cookies in your browser. The core tools should remain usable without an account. The language selector changes the page address; it does not set a language-tracking cookie. For privacy questions, contact [email protected]. Avoid including sensitive personal information in email. This information is updated when services or data handling change.
